Apple doubles profits as iPad and iPhone sales explode
Apple has doubled its profits for the fourth quarter of 2011 as record sales of iPads, iPhones and Macs boosted net sales by 73%, while its margins grew fatter.
Profits increased to $13.1bn (£8.4bn) from $6bn (£3.9bn) in the final quarter of 2011, as Apple reported its first set of results since the death of co-founder Steve Jobs.
